Cellulite
Cellulite is an inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue that gives the skin a bumpy appearance, often referred to as “orange peel” skin. It results from various factors, such as genetics, an unbalanced diet, or water retention. There are several types of cellulite (adipose, fibrous, edematous), requiring precise diagnosis to choose the right treatment. Personalised solutions are proposed according to your expectations and characteristics.

Frequently asked questions
What is cellulite and why does it appear?
Cellulite is characterised by an alteration of the subcutaneous adipose tissue, giving the skin an orange-peel appearance, made up of bumps and hollows. It’s an aesthetic feature that can cause discomfort for some people, especially women, which is why many of them want to get rid of it.
Cellulite is due to genetic or hormonal factors, but can also appear as a result of lifestyle. In this case, cellulite is said to be adipose. If, on the other hand, it appears due to a problem with blood circulation or water retention, it is said to be watery. Finally, there is a stage at which the accumulated fat becomes trapped in hardening subcutaneous collagen fibers. In this case, cellulite is said to be fibrous and becomes quite difficult to treat with natural methods.
What are the best solutions for getting rid of cellulite?
Cellulite can be difficult to remove with natural methods alone. If a healthy diet, regular exercise, creams and frequent massages have not helped, aesthetic treatments may be appropriate. At Claris Clinic, we offer radiofrequency and body-sculpting therapies to target cellulite.
Radiofrequency is one of the most effective methods of treating cellulite. Subcutaneous tissues are heated by radio waves, stimulating collagen, reducing fat and making the skin firmer. Our BodyTite® and Morpheus8® treatments combine radiofrequency with liposuction, and radiofrequency with microneedling to treat deeper areas. The BodyTite® treatment, however, is better suited to larger areas, while Morpheus8® is ideal for smaller but highly visible areas.
B-Tonic body sculpting is also highly effective for firming the skin. Its electromagnetic vibrations stimulate muscles deep down and help burn fat, thus toning areas affected by cellulite.
Can cellulite be eliminated naturally?
It is difficult to eliminate cellulite entirely through natural methods, but its appearance can be improved with a few healthy habits.
A balanced diet plays an important role. Avoid foods that promote water retention and fat accumulation, and choose fibre-rich or antioxidant-rich foods to help remove toxins and support collagen production. Staying well hydrated also benefits the skin’s appearance.
Regular exercise helps burn subcutaneous fat and improve circulation, while massages and targeted creams can offer additional support.
Overall, a healthy lifestyle can reduce the visibility of cellulite, but the effect is limited. When cellulite is fibrous or advanced, it is often very difficult to treat naturally, which is why aesthetic treatments may be needed for the best results.
Is cellulite remodeling painful?
Cellulite remodeling by radiofrequency (Morpheus8®) is not painful. The impact will depend on the patient’s sensitivity and the technology used. Patients usually feel slight discomfort rather than pain, accompanied by a sensation of (moderate) heat on the skin.
Similarly, remodeling with the B-Tonic body sculpting method stimulates muscles with electromagnetic waves. Sensations are similar to muscle contractions. They can be very surprising at first, but are generally not painful. However, slight muscle fatigue may be felt after the session.
When do you see the first results and how many sessions are required?
Depending on the type of treatment used, the area treated and the patient’s particular characteristics, results may not appear at the same time. With radiofrequency, results appear within four to six weeks of treatment. However, between 3 and 6 sessions are required for optimum results. With body sculpting, results are achieved after an average of 8 sessions (i.e. around three weeks).
How much does a cellulite remodelling treatment cost?
Morpheus8® treatment for cellulite remodelling costs €565 per session or €1,395 for a package of three. BodyTite starts at €915 and is priced individually according to the intensity and size of the areas treated, with a personalised estimate provided during the initial consultation. The B-Tonic treatment is €895 for eight sessions, with a complimentary consultation and estimate, and additional sessions priced at €125 each.
